They are much more difficult to defeat than regular enemies, as each one will 'mutate' after 50 of their health is depleted, restoring it to full and boosting their stats. These enemies spawn at random locations throughout the Commonwealth, the Island, and Nuka-World, depending on the difficulty setting. Until then, I'm not using that armor unless I really need to. Legendary armor pieces are only found on the bodies of 'Legendary' variants of enemies.
I have no clue how to turn it off or disable it, but wonder if there is a way to mod it so that the sound file is replaced by a zero byte file, that would be great. Minimal changes are expected as part of this migration. Maybe they should have fixed the pip-boy instead so that when viewing it in that mode, it'd still be readable. As part of the Unified Community Platform project, this wiki and 38 others will be migrated to the new platform in the next few weeks. Who in their right mind thought this was a good addition, and why add it now? It's not like we needed audio clues to tell us we were in chameleon mode, since the visuals are obvious enough. However, Armor Class is reduced by 5 and Crushing Resistance suffers a 5 penalty. It is maddening, and I agree that it ruins enjoyment. Chameleon is a Feralkin racial trait which appears in Lionheart. )Įvery move you make in and out of chameleon mode uses that sound. Thanks for doing it or I'd think I was going nuts on my own. You (OP) are the only one who seems to have posted about it. Then I realized it may be the chameleon armor, and did a consequent search on it. I've been searching using terms 'crouch', 'sneak', etc., and found nothing.
